About us!

We are an independent Record shop on Beynon Parade in Carshalton named after Dwight Twilley’s Power-Pop classic ‘Looking For The Magic’… We love music, we love stuff and we love people! We think the name of the shop captures everything that we’re about!

After 4 great years in our own little corner of The Sound Lounge venue in Sutton we found our current home, a beautiful shop full of character in Carshalton’s Beynon Parade and we love it here! We’re very close to both Carshalton and Carshalton Beeches stations and a short bus ride from Morden tube and Sutton. Carshalton boasts some amazing pubs, cafes, Galleries and great shops including our neighbours at Logo Fiasco Records and beautiful parks and the ponds, so it’s always worth a day trip!

We pride ourselves on the breadth and depth of stock, be that classic and lesser spotted vinyl, CDs or Cassettes or Sci-Fi and Horror books and films or Pop Culture ephemera. We put out curated new additions every single day so there’s always something to see… and we’re always on the look out for new collections. We’re always happy to have a chat and the kettle is always on the go! See you here folks!
